Hi Bill:

  The message is telling you that your license isnt being seen. Did you install the new version in the same place
as the old? Open the folder and see if license.dat is there. If it exists, run the gearotic.exe in that folder, does it run fine? If so , you may have inadvertantly installed a new version in program files or something and it can no longer see the license.

  ( Never send anyone your license or try to attach it to a public forum, thats not a good idea. :)

I  downloaded and install 2.990 and now I get "gearotic unlicensed backup not performed" when I try to save.  I don?t seem to be able to go back to the previous release either.
What can I do to get by this.

I tried to attach a copy of my license but the file was rejected.
