  The pointers, as you likely noticed, all use scaling of the original dxfs for them. They follow simple rules,
and the program cuts and stretches them for the shaft holes. You've done excellent just figuring them out,
few have. I made them all DXF's rather than internal formats so hackers could play, but I never pictured
anyone could do it as well as you have. Truth told, I don't think I could have done as well, but then I see
myself as more enabler for craftsmen, than a craftsman myself. I'm just a keyboard player..

Post any you like, Ill include them in future releases.

I first thought that  NGRAVE objects could create useful details in simulated clock mechanisms.  Since my original post I've been experimenting with alternate uses of the indicator feature of Gearotic.

I've encased my chronometer simulation model with a case and added a numbered dial.  The dial and case were simulated with indicators that I created using LibreCAD.

The video was captured with Camstudio, and the jpg using XNview.  The video strips off the front, body, back of the case and then removes the disk behind the dial numbers.

I've been trying to standardize the way I create indicator objects to be able to have consistent scaling when added to a model.  I'm not sure how useful some of my specialized additions to the indicator folder within Gearotic would be to other users, although I'd be willing to post some of them if there is interest.

Hi Bill:

  Youve come across an area of gearotic not yet developed. While you can place an NGrave object on the screen, its interface has not yet been completed, so there is little you can do with it, it wont link and such properly for example. Sorry about that, but at present, ( though youve gotten quite far playing with it, :) , the feature of NGrave objects is not usefull. It is planned to be completed along with a clock face making facility , but I cant tell you when.

I may be messed up on my understanding of placing an Ngrave object onto a design.

I creaded a couple of gears with an indicator arm.  I then used the image process tool to input ClockFace.gif..selected Ngrave and then used Ngrave Move button to position the dial centered on the indicator shaft and behind it.  I saved this model as NgraveTest1.gth.  I then closed Gearotics2

I restarted Gearotics2, and opened NgraveTest1.gth and got strange results...I then saved this as NgraveTest2.gth.

On the left are the Front and side images of NGraveTest1.gth...showing the proper position of the object.

On the right are the Front and side images of NgraveTest2.gth.  In this left hand side the image is simply blank and the object is placed at the front of the model rather than between the indicator and the pinion gear.

I first ran into this problem when I expanded my ChronoSim example to include a dial face and a vane.  The blank image in NgraveTest2.gth is perhaps a Windows 10 issue (neither Snapshot or REC works on either of my computers).  I'm not sure about the position problem.  Since I'm new to Gearotics, I could be doing something wrong.  In other examples I tried attaching via "add Link" the Ngrave image to an object, (e.g. a gear) with the same negative results.
