Hi All:

Hope summer is going well, thought I might post a bitmap output of a flourish in the new Vector->Bitmap module.
Figured it might be handy for laser engraving and such. Ill likley start releaseing sometime in mid-Sept.

No matter how much I try to stay in front of you , John, you have me pegged, when considering the variable name,
I figured fertilizer was better than bullshit.. lol

Hi Mark:

>>Question - can you limit the spread to 90 degrees, 2 inches in width for each arm that is about 6 inches from the corner in each direction?  I'm thinking mirror or frame decoratio ns for example.

Well, yes and no. While designing this module I found I could make it look exact, but then it lacked any artistic
expression, so I had to allow it to be somewhat more heuristic , this is why funny var's like "Fertilizer and Motif"
are set by the user, they control its growth, and when you get used to it, it kinda makes sense,  but you dont have
"tight" control, it seemed to me to be a tradeoff between control and expression, I opted more for expression.

Luckily, it takes only 2 seconds to make, so you try various cofigurations and var's till you get what you like. :)

That is beautiful!  I predict that there will be clock faces unmistakably identified as "Gearotic" that you will see posted in the future.  Great job guys!

Question - can you limit the spread to 90 degrees, 2 inches in width for each arm that is about 6 inches from the corner in each direction?  I'm thinking mirror or frame decorations for example.

Playing around with a flourish, copy, pasting and rotating a pattern.

Brought it into autocad as a DXF to test.

Looking pretty cool... 8) I think!

then a close up of a rotated pattern

Edit:
Few issues found with Artcam, after editing some nodes and trimming the length of one motif, I arrayed the pattern.
Then created a 3D shape just to see how well the segments were uniform and flowed.

If you run short we could spare a few tons of well aged sheep manure  :)
