Sorry for the very late reply. I've spent all these days debugging the issues I had with a Nomad 883 I acquired recently.

Bill was right, the diameter of the shaft in decorations was too small (0.25 mm). I changed it to 5 mm and now I can see the shafts and select them. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Bill:

Good point, I recently had one report of shafts missing that was the sorting turned off on shafts, so it stuck in my mind, but its true if the
shaft is too small its hard to select on screen. They should select in the tree though, so long as they appear in the tree. :)

Hi Art

If he can't select the shaft, Gearotics may  inadvertantly have the default shaft diameter on the main screen's "decorations" panel set to a small number perhaps even zero.

Hi:

At the top of the project tree is a sort selection icon, select "sort by shafts", you shoudl be able to see and click on the shaft in that tree.
(Or am I misunderstaning the question?)

Can't select shafts by clicking

by DocErezA » Tue Aug 30, 2016 9:37 pm

Hello, this is my first post here.

I added some gears to my project using Autotrain and while I can select the gears with a mouse click, I can't select the shafts. I don't even see the dots that represent the shafts as in the videos. Any ideas?

Thanks.
