Hi Broke:

I just tested here to make sure, but when I add a planetary to the screen, and then use the DXF output to save it as a dxf, it seems to load fine into Vexx and Vcarve. Make sure your selecting
the pantary for dxf output and not its shaft ( which WILL give you just a circle ).
There is also another way to get the planetary into Vexx, while its on the project screen, run Vexx, and in the Gearotic Menu select "Get Gear". The planetary shoudl show up as a selection
and will then transfer to Vexx. I tested this as well to be sure it wasnt a bug and it seems to work fine.

If this doesnt cure the issue, yell back. Save the project file in your reply and Ill run some diagnostics here to find the issue.

Thx
Art

Planetary Gear DXF output missing teeth

by Broke » Mon May 21, 2018 5:34 pm

Just started using the software, so much to learn.
After getting a Planetary gear with 135 teeth onto Project , when I have tried to Export to DXF, and then used Vexx to view the file, only the outer circle shows. No teeth.
How to fix this?

The Spur gear that is associated with the Planetary gear shows up fine using what I believe is the same route. ???
