Hi Kirk:

Bevels are the one gear type I dont allow spokes on for technical reasons.
BE carefull of all those spokes, some are meant ony for laser cutters as their way
too fine ( like the musical note spokes ) for cnc in general.
In keeping with the increasing number of ways to make things we'll continue
to add things that some modalities can cut, others cannot, so people will have to be
carefull to ensure theres enough "meat" on the spokes and indicators for whatever
modality will end up cutting them..

Thx
Art

I bumped it up to 150mm, still no spokes on regular or helical bevels, fwiw.  I wasn't really expecting them, but the options are available, respoke isn't grayed out.  It chugs after clicking respoke, but no spokes appear.  V1.02

I'm trying to reform, and was using metric.  The size was set to 50.8mm, I changed it to 20.  Now I have to decide which spokes <g>.  The first gear looked a bit funky anyway due to printing too fast and not enough cooling on the side away from the fan.  I'll try again.

I just noticed the prolog/epilog code option.  At some time you might think about adding an option for line segments vs arcs for gcode, some of the arduino firmware either doesn't do arcs or does but doesn't handle them very well.  No biggie, force them to switch or do it right.  And you thought I was going to say tabs :)

Troy:

Sounds like all is well then for you. Version is fine, I often neglect the very minor number increases..

Thx for the report,
Stability is improving, Ill add more error codes for next release to allow me to tighten it down more.

Downloaded and installed latest test version. GT no longer has the freezing issue.GM version shows as 4.900. Should it show 4.90.02? GT version shows 1.02.

Thanks,
Troy

I 3D printed a set of helical bevel gears of the weekend.  The stl sliced without any problems, and the resulting prints meshed and rolled fine.  Other than a cooling issue that was my fault, and some funky support from slic3r, they were perfect.  Is the D shaped part of the hub for a setscrew, and will there be a way to add a hole for one (or more) to be he stl?

I noticed I couldn't add any spokes, but that saved me from deciding on one of the bazillion new types. :-)

Thanks!

Kirk

Jerry:

Just doing final alterations on a new release for a few reasons, will be out today I think, perhaps in an hour or two.
Let me know if the new one fixes it ..

Good Morning Art;

I reloaded GT and selected circular and the same error message appeared.
I restarted GT and selected indicators and the program seemed to function.
I went up the selections from bottom to top, it appeared to function okay until I got to circular and selected the planetary option and added the gear. what appeared was a solid disk, no teeth.
I repeated the above several times with different DP sizes with the same effects.

I hope this helps and I'll wait for your revisions.

Thanking you in advance
Jerry
