Looks very good.

Backlash will reappear soon. For the moment, I recommend you thin the teeth if using involutes, thats the true backlash method, I doubt if backlash is required for
epicycloidics, they have backlash planned into them by spec.
I will be adding a shaft backlash very shortly as the engine is starting to reach completion in terms of the way it functions..

Hi Art,
I've been looking for backlash and haven't found it yet.  I assume it will be coming.  Also since I'm a slow reader I'd love to be able to control the length of time that the tip stays on screen and it was there once but now I can't find that control either.  Never mind I'm having lots and lots of fun with what is there.

I thought I give an example of a single pinion driving three differently toothed wheels.  This is an orrery that works the phases of the moon.  The central gear is actually three in my construct but you have the option of only using one gear/tooth count the three gears on the left only vary by one tooth and since the construct is wood and the power in hand power there is no problem forcing the driven gears to "slip" without binding up completely.  Its counter intuitive but it does work and looks really cool as well.

  I just reupped the download. The problem was a small typo in my rotational simulation code. You may now mix various
pinions on any wheel. ( You could put extra wheels on a pinion but while it'll place it'd never work.. )

Good Morning Art,
I've been playing with the new Geneva Gear Portion of GT and I duplicated the four gear,four tooth setup from the tutorial and things looked great.

However if I created gears with different tooth count, lets say the 1st gear has 4 teeth and the 2nd gear has 6 teeth, the pin meshes well with the 4 tooth gear but passes through the 6th tooth gear.
If I reverse the arrangement, placing the 6 tooth gear 1st on the project board and the 4 tooth gear 2nd on the project board, the pin meshes well with the 6 tooth gear and passes through the 4 tooth gear.
I've tried many combinations of tooth counts and it appears that the 1st placed gears meshes but every gear after that doesn't .

I hope that makes since to you and that I haven't rambled on.

I'm loving GT more each time I use it
