Yea!!  I've been hoping for the gear renaming to be activated.  I have projects with 40+ gears and shafts, naming them get's important.

Hi Art,
Thanks - I feel somewhat vindicated since I hadn't missed something on this one.

Hi John;

As yet, you cannot change a gears name. That will be turned on very shortly though, but since the database refers to all its internal objects by name,
Im just making sure all the possible errors in renaming are caught before I allow you to change them. So that box is just to display the current selections name
as of right ..

Thx
Art

Hi Art,
Ooops.  Forget the spoke issue - it must have been something I did on my end because there all back.

Spokes and Names

by John T » Tue Dec 17, 2013 3:38 pm

Hi Art,
Just playing around with things and am having problems in a couple of areas:

1.  I can't figure out how to name my gears - I put the name in the "Object Name" part of the project screen but it won't "stick" that is it disappears when I exit that area and never appears in the "Project Tree".

2.  My spoke list has been reduced down to 9 and there is a pull down bar which when pulled shows only a blank white area past the initial 9.

Hope this helps a little.

John
