I used the Makergear plastruder on my cnc retrofit. I haven't had any problems with it.

Picking an extruder

by SkyMoBot » Mon Jan 13, 2014 2:27 am

I'm gathering up the materials to convert my CNC router to do 3d printing.  One final purchase is puzzling me, which extruder to use.  I don't want to overspend, but then I don't want to go cheap and end up fighting issues I could have avoided.  Any of you who have actually done this have a recommendation?  I'm not at all worried about making it all work, I know I can do that.

I have a heated bed, a temperature controller, 4th Axis control.  Using slicer to generate the G-code.  My router can do 180 ipm in the XY so I'm thinking it's fast enough.
