Hi:

GM does have bad stl's on that disk. GT will correct that soon.

Id  try running the vcdist64 by right clicking it in you GM folder and selecting
"Run as Admin.". The side-by-side issue is pretty much always the redist not being
properly installed. Try running the 32 bit..It shouldnt run but you never know if
there may be a file not being installed in 64 that may install in 32, though you'd
probably need to run 64 afterwards.

Can't open GT and GM incomplete gear

by James Roemer » Sat Mar 22, 2014 4:10 am

Hello, I get an error message when trying to open GT and it doesn't run. Says 'side-by-side configuration is incorrect'. I have run the vcredist64 and rebooted the system but no change.

And GM is working great except when I try to create a Lantern gear Wheel .stl file for 3D printing. It looks right in GM but when opened in my slicer it's just a plain disc with no axle hole or teeth/pins. The pinion is fine.

Using Win 7 home premium 64 bit. Loving this program, great job! Thanks
