Phil:

Its never wrong if it works. :)

Actually, there are known problems with OpenGL and some systems where disabling hardware
acceleration also fixes such things. So removing that driver may have done something similar,
at any rate, Im glad it solves your issue. I have very very  few reports of systems that cannot run
Gearotic, and Id like it to stay that way. :)

Hi Art, I have two display adapters listed in device manager:

1) AMD Radeon HD 8470 + 8570D Dual Graphics
and
2) AMD Radeon HD 8570D

So I disabled the first and now the graphic resolution is as it should be, bl**dy gamers!!! ;)

I don't now if disabling was the correct thing to do, hopefully somebody will put me straight?

Thanks for that.

Phil

Hi Art, thanks for that, I won't get a chance to try your suggestions until this Saturday.

Phil:

Sounds like video card issues or video driver, GT and GM are very OpenGL heavy
and a few very rare video cards seem to hate it. Updating your video drivers and perhaps
turning off 3d acceleration are things worth trying..

Phil:

No, if you right click most programs you'll get an option to "Run as Admin". It can make a differance.

Gearotic Thoughts is the new program, you shoul dhave an icon for it if you installed recently.
What happens if you run it?

Not sure about RunAsAdmin but I see the same resolution problem when signed in as Admin if that's what you mean, also in Thoughts???

Low res main screen graphic window?

Hi Art, it's a while since I've been here but now it's time for me to get serious, I've made the decision to build my first clock. So first port of call is of course Gearotic to down load the latest demo version to check out compatibility. And yes I seem to have a problem with the main screen resolution graphics window, see below. I'm using windows 8.1 64 bit. It run fine on another machine running windows XP 32 bit. Anyway here's hope you have a fix for me. ???

Best regards
Phil
