Hi Art,
I don't have a problem with the current version as I simply down the development version and overwrite whatever is on file.  However I can understand Sage's confusion.  A screenshot of "About" in included here as well as a Screenshot of the Downloads page and final the Version log.  These were all taken today and there are differences.

As I said I just go ahead and download the current development package and go with that.

  I do apologize. New web pages were made up at the time of the switch to G2.0 , but never uploaded.  You'll find the site now shows the proper information.

The help/about has always shown the current version number ( Small icon far right on top menu bar). The problem till now was that there were three version numbers, the install, Gearotic Motion and Gearotic Thoughts. Each had its own. Now that Gearotic Motion is removed and no longer distributed, the version numbers have been rationalized. G2.0 is the program, current level is Gearotic 2.006 I believe as of yesterday. The first download link rarely changes, typically only when there are no bug reports on a version for some time. The second link changes frequently , but all releases are listed in the thread for new releases as well as any information on known bugs.
  Clicking the change log on the download page will show a history of releases back to the beginning of development, it is sometimes a bit behind, but usually only slightly so depending on how busy I've been. I do try to keep on top of such things as versions but the development of G2 has been a huge job so I juggle priorities on such things. Sorry for any confusion, but if you do find yourself frustrated or confused, yell at us anytime.
We do take pride in always responding, typically the same day and also very often issue fixes the same day. We recognize shortcomings and try to
make up for them in any way we can during development. You'll normally find us quite responsive to any questions or troubles.

So the confusion continues for me.
I was just casually wondering if there may be an update to V2 so I went to Gearotic.com and then to the download page.

And I see Version 4.67 is the latest so I say to myself BOY Art has being doing a lot of work lately. So I downloaded it.
I went and un-installed my old one before installing the new one and I happened to notice that it was V2.002 in the control panel . programs list.
So I installed the fresh download and it still shows Version 2 on the program title page. Same thing under the ABOUT button.
in the control panel /programs list the new install is listed as V2.004 so something happened.

And Now I see an announcement here that V2.006 is available. So where is it if it's not on Gearotic.com After all that is the name of the program. :-\

I'm so confused and frustrated. ???

Art. Can you:

A) Make one place for downloading this program that makes sense and has the latest version and is listed as such not V4.67 when it's actually 2.xx I would have thought Gearotic.com downloads would be the place.

B) Make the info in ABOUT reflect the whole version number so one can check what version they have installed so they don't have to go to control panel/programs to see it.

Is this more complicated than it needs to be or am I just a little dense. ???

  Sorry for the confusion. Gearotic Motion was the original program. It was too complex
internally though to grow, so Gearotic Thoughts was developed alongside it to be the eventual
successor. That time has come so Gearotic Thoughts has been renamed Gearotic 2.0 , and both
Gearotic Motion and Gearotic Thoughts are both gone.
  From now on you will see only Gearotic 2.0 as the icon created or updated during installation.
I know it got a bit confusing. It wont be changing again, it will stay as Gearotic 2.0 ......
at least for a few years.

Back a while when I purchased Gearotic Motion I think it also installed Gearotic thoughts. Tonight I went to the website and downloaded the development version of Gearotic Motion and installed it. Now I only see Gearotic V2 icons on my desktop.
I getting confused with the different programs and the name changes (Gearotic Motion to just Gearotic - no more thoughts - two programs, one program).
The blurb on the website says Gearotic Thoughts would eventually become the final program. Now I don't see it at all.
So what's up with this. Am I doing something wrong.
It's all very confusing.
