That's what I am leaning toward.  I have a Tormach and I use their TTS tooling system,  I called and they suggested about the same thing, use one of their blanks and make one.  The blanks are pretty cheap at $19.

Problem with slitting saw arbours is they usually have very little support with the one size suits all washers.
Many years ago I wanted some arbours with largish bosses on them to support cutters better but struggled to find them. At the time R8 wasn't as popular in the UK as it is now.
I ended up getting a local CNC company to turn me a set of 10 blanks up as R8 blanks where impossible to find but I see they are more readily available nowadays.
Perhaps this is one answer, to turn one up from a blank ?

I saw that and I am not sure.  It doesn't look like the other involute gear cutter arbors.

I picked up a set of involute cutters with 7/8 holes.  Looking at the usual sites I'm having trouble finding a arbor for them.  I see 22mm which is close, but not 7/8.

Am I just not seeing them, or looking for the wrong thing.
