3d grid is just a visual on the screen. It uses a feature of graphics cards called a Shader program. I wanted to experiment with shaders so I added the feature.All is does is show a kind of checkboard pattern on the bottom half of the screen as you rotate and such, and it shows a perspective grid going into the distance. Its uses parallel processing inside the video card so its very fast.
Its also useless, you dont need it at all, but I appreciate the report, I track such things to get an idea of the capabilities of your average users video system.
