Ian:

I do typically limit to 4 decimals, I hadnt though that was too low for MOD..

Ill look into it, and have listed having the calculator on the cage screen as well.
Youll probably see that fairly soon.

Thx

loss of decimal places for module

G2 version 2.281

Used calculator in circular gears to set shaft distance of 70mm
which gave a module of
2.97368421052631

went to cage gears on returning to circular gears module was
2.9737 and shaft distance was 69.8820

this happens when going to any tool then returning to circular gears

Also happens to module in cage gears

I haven't checked anywhere else
as another example set module to 2.90006 leave circular tool on returning module set to 2.9001 ie only storing to 4 decimal places somewhere

I noticed this because I was using the calculator in circular gears to get shaft distances for cage gears.
Seems to work if teeth are identical

Any chance of having the calculator within the cage gear tool ?

Hope that all makes sense

Ian
