I have enclosed a screen shot of Gearotic as I try to implement my laptop integrated camers.  As you can see, the image is black.  Hopefully this may help you identify the problem.

Wow. Sorry about that. Im having trouble imagining what its looking for. Mine now shows doubled entries, one for videoformat1 and 1 for videoformat type#2.

  Ill ruminate on how to help that one out.. dotn hold your breath though, Im a bit stumped as to why its being persnickety.. 89.1 pretty much rolls it back to previosu versions.. but with safeties to stop crashing..

Unfortunately Gearotic 2.2989.1 did not solve the problem.

  Version has been updated, I suspect your webcam now works as before.

Thats why I say its probably reporting wrongly. In order to stop people from crashing Ive turned off
type of outputs that crashed some people. It may be yours was reporting oe of those types. Ill turn on
a few more to see for the next update..

The integrated webcam did worked in Gearotic 2.2983.

  The 32 bit box installs the 32 bit runtime, even though your OS is 64 bit, most programs are 32 bit. SO you need the
32 bit installed even on 64 bit systems. G2 wouldnt run at all if you didnt have it installed though. So thats fine.

I suspect your camera is simply reporting wrong as to its capabilities, not unusual in some camera or laptops..

The Resolutions box is blank.

Also, I am using a 64 bit operating system -- What is the purpose of checking or not checking the 32 bit redistributed box during installation?

  What does the indicated video mode say when you get that black screen? Does it say YUY2 or TUYV or does it say anything other
than the resolution?
  Sorry for the bug, I know more cameras than ever are now capable, but it inadvertantly removed a few types as well.
I just need to know what type it was in terms of video type..

I am running Gearotic 2.2989 and I get a black picture when I select the integrated webcam on my Dell laptop computer.  The integrated webcam worked in Gearotic 2.2983.

The integrated webcam  on my Dell laptop computer uses windows 7 and Quanta Computer Inc. video driver version 1.0.1404. 1005 dated 5/14/2010.
