Yes, setting the width to 20 would allow loops in your drawing and could crash... Many safeties and limits exist within Gearotic  to prevent similar events from ever happening, however our users requested way back that we allow some flexibility within those limits, so because of this, we always ask users to visually check their gears when modified for loops or errors prior to adding them to the project. I will mention this to Art, perhaps he may want to tighten these limits a bit more.

Crash creating herringbone gears

I'm attempting to create module .8 herringbone gears with 160 and 12 teeth.  Setting the Width to 20 crashes Gearotic.
