Thanks for the quick reply.

I just purchased gearotic and since I am implementing a chain drive on my DIY CNC machine I used it as my first test design with this tool.  Leading me to initiate this thread.

I understand the low priority.

Best regards,

Jerry

Hi Jerry:

  Gearotic doesnt really understand Idlers, it figures any gear on a chain turns with the chain,
and it cant see the idler sitting on the outside of the chain.. but you know, its not a bad
idea to have a general "Reverse" option on an object for such a situation, in case one wishes
to drive something off the idler. It wont be high priority , but Ill look into an option to
allow for that, till then there is no way to reverse an idlers rotation..

Thx
Art

Jerry;

Why don't you go in "selected props", use the video "rec" option Gearotic offers while simulating, post it back here so I can have a better look? Or you can send me your project file, that too will work?

I am simulating a chain drive system on a CNC router but the idler gears are turning in the same direction as the drive sprocket.  In my case the idlers should turn in the opposite direction as the drive sprocket.

Is there a switch or setting somewhere in Gearotic that I have overlooked that will make that change for me?
