There may be other fields where this or similar behaviour occurs but these I have noticed.
The field for "Shaft Diameter" in the "Lantern and Pinion" and "Non Circular Gears" pops up an error message if the field is cleared prior to entering a new value.
The only way to make an entry is to highlight the existing value and type the new value.
