John:

I call it a walker out of habit really, I refer to any of the lever types as walker types, the proper term for that
one would be a graham escapement. Its been about 3 years since I coded the escapements into Gearotic, and somehow
swapped names over that time. A Graham Escapement is proper I believe. 
The recoil really should be balanced by right I suspect, but in this case, it is what it is, tuning parameters may make it work properly in that regard..

Hi Art,
More of a curiosity than anything else.

You call the escapement a Walker is it different from the recoil escapement?
All the recoil is on the entry escapement - is that intentional or just the way it is?  On actual clocks I always try to balance the recoil on both pallets.

I'm not a great simulator but this does look like fun.
