John:

I just reuploaded another fix. I was doing some development work so you may have gotten an error
on that one. Ive tested this latest one here pretty extensively so Im pretty sure it shoudl fix your problem.

Thx
Art

Hi John:

Sorry about that. Its a metric issue. I use metric and failed to test in inch mode. Im making a fix for that right now..

Take note too, that the rack can be used with a normal spur of the same module or DP, so you dont need to use a gta zero eccentricity with a rack.

Ill update soon.

Mismatch on wheel and rack

by John T » Wed Feb 06, 2013 4:50 pm

Hi Art,
I'm having some problems with a rack.  The procedure I'm following is:
1.  Open GTA Screen.
2. Change the eccentricity to 0 for a round wheel.
3. I tooth the Wheel and then put it on the project screen.
4. I go back to GTA and without changing any parameters I check the box "Rack" on Pitch Line.
5. I generate another wheel to get the rack on the project screen and that's when the trouble starts.

6.  The rack and the gear don't match in fact they seem to be an order of magnitude different.  The wheel is tiny and the rack is huge.

How do I get them both the same size so they mesh?  (I even sent the gCode to Mach three and it did the same thing with the wheel tiny and the rack huge.)
