Hi Peter:

GM doesnt put out any 3d format other than stl's and 3d dxf's which are basically all face based data.
I am trying to add a 3d CAD output like .step but as yet you cant do it. I hear SolidWorks can take STL's
for conversion to a .step type format, but I also hear its hard to do.

At the moment, your better off to import the 2d dxf and simply extrude it in whatever cad program your using,
unfortunately, this wont work for bevels or helicals as they cant really be simply extruded from a 2d profile.

I'm designing parts in Cubex Invent.
I'd like to import parts designed in GM.
Cubex Invent supports STEP, IGES, SAT or Solidworks formatted files.
Can GM or GT do these?
Does anyone know of tools that can convert any of the export formats into one of the above formats?
