Re: Which 3D Printer to Buy??
I started with a QIDI X-one printer in 2016 to print jigs and fixtures. It has worked well and is still working today.
Last December, I purchased a Bambu X1C, a modern printer with high speeds and multi-color capability.
Since I am now in a veteran's retirement home, I am limited to Sherline and ...

Flywheels
It may be possible to generate flywheels with Gearotic but it would be nice to have the direct capability to layout flywheels equivalent to those sometimes beautiful flywheels used on gas and steam engines. Fancy spokes, multi-level rims, etc.

If you use an early version of Gearotic, it will give you the outline of the cutter necessary to cut the gear. For internal gears, the tooth form is different from external gears so you cannot just use an external tooth form.

Re: Miniature Taper Lock fittings?
Understand the CNC focus but Model Engineers, for the most part (us old guys) primarily use manual machines hence the care to explain how to do it right without a computer. The newer members of the community do use CNC as do I in a limited way.

New Web site
I visited your new Web site, Art. Looks good but there is on problem. The software does not detect the width of the display on the receiving end and the pages spread left and right off the borders. I tried this on two computers, Firefox on a small display and I.E. on a large display, both exhibit ...

This approximately 10 HP supercharged V-8 model uses a taper lock on the flywheel if I remember correctly. THe engine is about 1 foot long, front to back.

Re: Miniature Taper Lock fittings?
Not wanting to blow my own horn but I published an article on how to make taper lock bushings in issue # 11 of Model Engine Builder magazine. This type of mount for flywheels is frequently used (and made) by Model Engineers.

Re: Tool Wizard
Art,
Another friend of mine wants to use the tool wizard (licensed user) and has a need for a tutorial on how the details of that wizard works.
Some time in the past, you detailed the wizard's workings in a posting on this forum. I found it last week but cannot find it today. Do you have a link to ...
