Thanks. Yeah it's amber, I had some scrap acrylic laying around so I though I would test it with that first, But I think wood definitely looks better.
Although its time to start getting ready for bazaar season, I thought maybe some dancing elves, or a couple of reindeer and a sleigh on the veins ...

Thank you very much. The gear on the left has a pinion, it pushes a rack that's been cut in the card.

This is a calling card with a function. It has a card inside that cranks out when the planetary gears are turned
