Thanks. Yeah it's amber, I had some scrap acrylic laying around so I though I would test it with that first, But I think wood definitely looks better.
Although its time to start getting ready for bazaar season, I thought maybe some dancing elves, or a couple of reindeer and a sleigh on the veins ...

One ticker done...

My first "Ticker". May there be many more ;D
It still needs a little work. But I don't think that it turned out to shabby.
Hopefully the video works. This will be my first video upload of any kind.

Thanks for the responses.

I agree, those are unusual.

I'm starting to lean toward the MakerBot Replicator X2. I like the dual print option. They advertise that it will print 100 microns. I spoke to a sales rep and he claims that 50 microns can be achieved with "some modifications". That would be ...

Hi all. I am in the market for a 3D printer. I?m hoping to find a printer that
-is well built
-is simple to use. (good user interface)
-has a decent size print area 12?X 12? or better

Thank you very much. The gear on the left has a pinion, it pushes a rack that's been cut in the card.
