Re: Transfer to new computer
Ok, I figured out the confusion. For some reason the icon at the very top right of the screen (next to the Style dropdown listbox) is the Print icon [Prn] and not a Help icon. But when I selected the icon it gave me an About dialog box with my name in it - so all is good.

Re: Transfer to new computer
I copied my old License.dat file into the Gearotic Motion directory and it appears to work (it least it isn't nagging about a lack of license when I add a gear). It would be nice if someone could show me a way to validate that the new version on a new machine is registered properly.

Transfer to new computer
How do I transfer my license to a new computer? I have been down for a while and noticed you updated the software so I downloaded the new version onto my new computer but I cannot find any way to register the product. It appears on my old machine (which now works again but is very slow) shows "V4.xx ...

Re: Output Manager crashes when generating 2D dxf
Art,
I tried again today, started from scratch, and everything worked correctly! Exported both gears as 2D-DXF files.
I posted the file in case you wanted to see if there were any differences with the other files.
Off to cut gears ;D

Re: Output Manager crashes when generating 2D dxf
Ok - it worked, sort of. When I recreated the first (simple) gear I could get Output Manager to create the DXF file. This is basically all I was after since I already had a DXF of the larger gear. But when I recreated the larger gear I can no longer generate a 2D DXF for the smaller gear - but I can ...

Re: Output Manager crashes when generating 2D dxf
The file should be posted.
Running a few more tries to help you nail down the problem. I downloaded the new development version 4.890, same problem.
I redrew the project (it's only two simple elliptical gears - and its just a test case) and it worked. Not sure what is in the gprj file but perhaps ...

Re: Output Manager crashes when generating 2D dxf
I had the same problem with 2D-DXF running elliptical gears, then ran a 3D-DXF and it worked correctly - unfortunately my CAM wants 2D. I also tried G Code and that worked. Went back to 2D-DXF and it worked for one gear (the more complicated one) but not the other, and now instead of crashing it ...
