Hello Art,
Just thought I?d share a few of my learnings, since you are currently developing a manual for Gerotic2. Here is where I struggled the most as an old mechanical type guy.
?Trust But Verify? - When naming components be sure that the part selected is exactly what you had intended and named ...

Re: A few clock questions from a newbie
Hi Art,
Thanks for the quick reply. I don't see that the hour wheel is an option to choose from on the pop up list. I rebuilt the entire train and verified that one thing is pushing the other throughout the train, but it still doesn't offer me the option to select the hour wheel for placement of the ...

A few clock questions from a newbie
Hi Art,
Is there a way to attach an hour hand to an hour wheel shaft (tube)? You probably know what I'm asking but incase I'm unclear. The minute hand is rotated by a shaft that runs from the center wheel, thru the cannon wheel and also thru the hour wheel but the hour hand is driven from the hour ...

Re: New Version 1.2
Art,
How can I verify that I am using the latest version? I down loaded and installed all the latest but I don't see where the "Rack" is available, it is grayed out. The about GearoticThoughts only shows 4 dashes.
Thanks,
Ron

Re: Pallet Rotation?
Hi Art,
Relieved to hear that it wasn't just me. I just wish I could do math half as well as you. Thanks for all your hard work! I know what it is like to develop an application and there is no way I could even come close to this one, very complex.
Thanks again,
Ron

Pallet Rotation?
Hi Art,
I?m not sure how I did this or if it may be a known bug but when using GT with Simulation enabled, the pallet actually rotates clockwise (as does the Ratchet) when viewed in the Project screen. When viewed from the Tools screen, the Pallet rocks back and forth while the ratchet turns as ...

Circular Spoke Behavior
Hello Art,
Just noticed something that I don?t quite understand. When working in GM with Circle1 spokes selected on a spur gear, I can play with the Rim, Leg and Boss ratios and adjust until the 4 round circles (spokes) are created that do not overlap each other. Works fine with any wheel diameter ...

Ratchet's Printing in Reverse?
Hello,
Newbie here, playing with GM & GT. Noticed that the ratchets print in reverse from what is shown on the display. Have tried the CCW option with no change. Is this a know issue or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Ron
