Art,
I downloaded both the x64 and x86 versions and installing them did not solve the problem.
I tried the x64 version on its own and that did not work and I tried the x86 version on its own and that didn't work either.
Both versions installed and uninstalled without generating any error messages ...

Moving from Win 7 to Win 10 - Vexx issue
Art,
I decided to bite the bullet and move to Win 10 after Microsoft announced no further security updates after January 2020.
I started with a clean install of win 10 and started to migrate my licenced applications to the new platform. I downloaded the latest Gearotic version from your website ...

Re: Version 2.271 online
Art,
Thanks for the updated version.
I suppose I was hoping for an STL import so I could import non gearotic generated models for slicing and turning into DXFs. I suppose if we did have the STL import capability then we would be "out of scope" of Gearotic's design principles.
Jim.

Re: Version 2.266 online
I use DXFs a lot and as I'm now also playing with 3d CAD the ability to slice my models to DXFs will be very useful.
I also import gear profiles as DXFs and build tailored 3d models from them - for example I recently exported a 78 tooth T10se pulley as a DXF and built the associated 3d model from ...

Re: Imperial Wheel Escapement Problems
Art,
Thanks for the swift response.
I'll go with your suggestions.
I'll probably get the wheel cut using a local water jet company.
I used them recently to cut some T10N pulley profiles generated by GM which I used in the gear train of a battery driven car built by a school for which I'm a CAD/CAM ...

Imperial Wheel Escapement Problems
Hi Art,
I am using GM version 4.890 in imperial units to help me design a new dead beat escapement wheel for my 19th century turret clock which was manufactured here in the UK.
The escapement wheel has 30 teeth and has a CCW rotation. It is exactly 3 inches in diameter giving a diamentric

Re: 3d printer stls from GT
Art,
On the CAD front I use Solidworks. I use the 2D DXF profile from GM which I then Extrude - I don't change anything and it works perfectly - just one command!
I must admit, however, to enormous difficulty using the 3D DXF from GM. So much so that now I don't even bother trying.
Like the idea ...
