Re: Interference below base line
Thanks Art,
That is the info I needed.
I have to redesign a small gearbox , max gear diameter is only 35mm, and there are six gears.
The shaft to shaft distance is predefined by the current enclosure. Working backwards it comes to M0.8
I have zero documentation on the old gears, they were cast ...

Fast replay as usual
Any suggestion how to really get a clean page in Gearotic and not remembering old gears?

Spur gear design problem:
I am designing a gear box and have been creating spur gears using the installed gear script in Fusion 360 and I am comparing it to Gearotic but ran into a separate problem with clearing old data.
The Fusion 360 is very convenient and the result looks good. I ...

Clean new start ???
How do I get rid of old settings/project? I am probably missing something obvious.
I did something wrong and want to start over from scratch. I click on the "New" in the upper left corner.
I get an empty looking space but when I click on spur gear to start over, the old settings and ...

Re: Stacking and linking gears together on a non-linked shaft
As usual Art, amazing service!
Thank you so much,
After all these years I am still running Mach3 for my laser and Taig CNC mill.
For my custom CNC mill I got Mach4.
Take Care,
Bertho

Stacking and linking gears together on a non-linked shaft
I have physical gears that are manufactured as a one piece, for example, a 42 tooth and a 12 tooth gear.
To simulate, I can stack two gears on a common shaft and link the shafts.
How can I link the two gears together without linking using the shaft. I have other sets of similar gears on the ...

File locations
I am just learning to play with this amazing program. Here are a few initial comments:
I keep different projects in separate folders as commonly done. I saved the project file in such a folder.
I later created a DXF output file and it never went to the project folder as expected. I finally found the ...
