Re: V-Carve products - suggestions ?
I've been reading their website for a bit now and I still can't figure out exactly what the difference between VCarve and Aspire is.

Re: Mechanical Books
The 7 vols by Artobolevsky are really interesting, too bad I can only find one volume online in English. You can download them at Scribd with a free trial, or find them here instead:

Re: Mechanical Books
I've found several recomendations for "Mechanisms in Modern Engineering Design," by Artobolevsky. Originally in Russion, but English translations (circa mid 70s) are available, and pretty expensive used. There's a couple of PDFs of the work on Scribd, I may check it out soon.

It's funny you posted that, as I just found that myself via some Wikipedia source citations.JustinO wrote: http://kmoddl.library.cornell.edu/bib.p ... hor&type=1

Mechanical Books
I've been slowly collecting some mechanical reference books for my library, primarily for some creative inspiration, and I was wondering if anyone had any other titles they'd consider useful. I'm particularly interested in any collections of various linkages and/or gear sets.

Re: CNC router question
Interesting. There's a VERY long thread regarding the SO3 on their forum and I haven't read it.
All that said, I'd have a hard time believing that it'll never be expandable. You don't make custom extrusion like that just to stay at 16" or whatever their build size is. Time will tell.

Re: Mechanical Fourier Analysis
That's seriously cool! That would make an interesting Gearotic project; maybe Art should come up with a way to attach a virtual pen and paper to the simulator? :)
Well, we'd need some cams and lever and linkages in the software, right Art? ;)
I've got some random ideas that I'd like to play ...
