Re: Another Jerk (and more!) controlled controller

Hi Art

Thanks for ever considering all  these things.

I asked if it was possible after reading about a certain Siemens cnc controller where you have the ability to set jerk limit to each axis.. Then I thought it might bring something interesting to the table here.

Perhaps you could benefit ...

Re: Another Jerk (and more!) controlled controller

Hi:

Interesting paper. Its basically Auggies planner again in almost every way, the single exception being the blend formulas,
in that I use a hermite curve rather than a bezier. The two share the most important qualities though. Im quite happy
with Auggies motion generally, though I ...

Re: getting the 57cnc to work with G540

;D It's called pushing the limits of Trajectory Planning :o As Eddie Van Halen proved the Peavey electrical engineer that he could play his amplifiers on the volume 10!! From there came his signature Tone, Mine will be Auggie Flash.. It will feature a CanonMan (myself) and Art lighting the wick ...

Re: getting the 57cnc to work with G540

Yes the M calls are all going now. I get no more crashes. SWEET.

Just noticed if I type 1000 at the FRO field.. the code runs fast, I mean fast. But even with a low jerk setting it seems it gets too quick around the corners.

Re: Another Jerk (and more!) controlled controller

TinyG's planner is Exact Stop AFAIK. There is no constantVelocity or segment blending.. so speed would be handicapped highly if I'm not mistaken. But here is a very impressive video of tinyG running a bit of 3d printing gear..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Om0wTqFA-Dw
