Yes and I also have a scara project that will follow.

sand plotter mechanism
Here is the mechanism for the the Sisyphus type sand kinetic art piece. The base has a 120 tooth 16"D gear with a 18 tooth pinion. I used a large but quiet 16" lazy Susan bearing. The X axis uses a 3d printed motor mount, tension, end piece and carrier from Thingiverse. The motors are ...

Re: Kinetic Spinner
Actually, it is battery operated and the spinners are on a counter rotating shaft attached some gearotic gears and and driven by a motor.

Re: convert cartesian XY G code to polar coordinates G code for a scara kinetic art
Thanks! That was exactly what I needed. It converts cartesian G code to polar g code. I test ran it yesterday and it works great. Since there wasn't a narrative with the link you provided I thought I would go ahead and post the application in formation.

Re: convert cartesian XY G code to polar coordinates G code for a scara kinetic art
A friend of mine converted a cartessian G code to polar. He says it was pretty simple. He created a couple macro's to pull upo the code into a spreadsheet, do the conversion and then revert the format back to a polar text file. Best of all he said that if I needed to convert many files he ...

Strain wave Gear aka Harmonic drive
Art I hope you will take a look at this web site where a guy designed a 3d printed harmonic drive gearbox. I am working on a scara robotic arm for a kinetic art project. https://howtomechatronics.com/how-it-works/what-is-strain-wave-gear-harmonic-drive-a-perfect-gear-set-for-robotics-applications ...

convert cartesian XY G code to polar coordinates G code for a scara kinetic art
Has anyone created a excel spreadsheet or know of a program that will take XY g code and convert it to polar coordinate g code using G 16. I\m building a scar robotic arm and need such a program.

Bits from Bytes (BFB) 3D Printer firmware update
I bought the subject printer back in 2011. It works fine except recently when I use Axon to convert a stl file to 3d gcode I been getting checksum error when loading it into the machine. I thought the problem was with the USB stick but made an image of it on another usb stick and it was the same. I ...
