have you tried a
sleep(.04); //of some micro second
after or before a line read?
sounds like reading of the file or printing is causing a buffer spooling/overload/limit of some kind.
I believe Art is off cruising on vacation.

I find formatting the text box shape, size and using \n for line feeds (splits long text lines up) is the biggest control of font size conditions.
Wished the fonts fit the text box a little tighter too, but I've learned ways around it. Sometimes makes it hard with the overlapping during creation ...

it looks like the G4 X command is the error
G4 is a pause/dwell command followed by a P time value there are some controllers that use an X just not sure Auggie does

I don't think you need anymore than to make sure your passes are longer than the width of the blank, the diameter of the cutter, plus a little extra for what your heart can take when you see the action in process. I've seen that same effect when I was shaving gears it has to do with the indexing of the work piece when getting into position while
the cutter is off to the side, the indexer & cutter axis are moving to the opposite side of the tooth openings next pass.
