Re: New Release Version 4.90.02
Hi Dan:
Hmm, for some reason thats a very old version of GT.. Did you download the "development" version link?
If you select the ? or help/about icon what version does that one report?

Dan:
Thx. It should look as in the video I just released on Toolpaths.
A new version is imminent to make the program much more stable and to release
the new escapements module.

Might have to do with the number of teeth being too high. I am needing a gear for a heliostat drive that is four foot dia. and about 245 teeth. I used the spur gear that popped up when I click circular in tools. Is there a limit in GT or is it computer horse power? Thanks Dan

Dan:
Computer memory would be the limitation Id think, GT has no set limitations, it will try to create whatever one dictates..

Re: New Release Version 4.90.02
Hi Art,
I have somehow managed to lose the link to my licence (maybe i'm the missing link) anyway when I download the latest update all goes well until I check the version or try to save, at which time it tells me that my version is unlicensed. I can find the license.dat in my gearotic folder but the update can't seem too.
Hints?
John

John:
Make sure the update installed to that folder.. run the .exe IN that folder and see if it says licensed. IF not,
the file may be named wrong. Some people have "hide file extentions" turned on, they see a file named license.dat, but in reality its named license.data.txt , so try
turning on the file extentions display. If that doesnt work, email Bob for a new license at support@gearotic.com , he'll fix you up.
