Hi Art,
With 1.2 I can generate a wheel and put it on the project.  I can generate a rack and put in the project on the wheel - however it does not simulate to the end of the rack but just a couple of teeth and then resets (both were given the same mod).  The rack I generated had tabs on it but a second rack just goes behind the already existing rack and I cannot move it or place it at the end of the first rack.

Thought you should know.

John:

lol.. My appologies, its a metric vs imperial thing. I did all the calcs by module and didnt allow for an
imperial correction. Ill fix that up tomorrow... dunno how I missed it.. :)

Hi All:

Sorry for the metric mishap on racks, it is now fixed in version online. Also, I noticed
the DP of the gear in the circular gear section was not being saved , it now is so when you switch between
rack and circular the last DP will be displayed..

Hi Everyone:

Just a note about development. I know I haven't posted any updates over the past 2 weeks or so. Usually I take
summers off, I didn't last year because I wanted to progress GT faster than normal. I still wish to complete this task
now that I'm very close to having GM totally replaced, but I'm taking a few weeks to investigate a few things of interest to me before I complete GT's switch-over from GM.

I will, in furture, if I write software to assist me in any project include it in GT, no matter if its gear related or not. I will finish all GM functions in GT, but as well as that I will include anything I write.( I actually experiment quite a bit in many fields ..) At the moment I'm experimenting with shadow generators, and Ill probably include this in GT as a way of decorating clocks or Artworks I ( or you) make.
So from now on, anything I do will be included in GT, whether that's an image processing module, or a laser cutting function, or even a drawing aid I need for whatever project I'm working on that interests me. GT is probably my final commercial project and as such it will become a bit eclectic over time  as I add whatever I find interesting. So hopefully this wont annoy the rigorously gear involved users as you can ignore anything not suited to your interests.

I mention all this as I didn't want to create a situation where I release a shadow generation module and have folks wonder what the heck kinda gear that is. Its my feeling from conversing with many of you that while gearing is your
primary focus in using GT and GM, anything that helps you be artistic and productive in your Art, is something your happy to have included in GT. Thats more or less my thrust as I consider myself more of an artist than an engineer (Maybe an artistic engineer?) :-).

So in future dont be surprised if somewhat weird modules appear which are more artistic than engineering related, but be assured work continues on both fronts and your suggesting always count as well. Ill be back at completing GM's functions in GT after the next release which will likely be in 2-3 weeks. My laser is repaired now and I want to cut some shadow generators with it, hence the hiatus.

Have fun,
Art
