Hello Art
It does not seem to be the Memory.
I tried with the biggest G-Code file I have. The maximum RAM Auggie consumes (at least what the Task Manager shows) is 165MB and I have plenty of memory free during the burning.
With this file it crashed all the time.
However, I tried to raise the look-ahead in steps: At 201 is the last working one. 202 and it crashes.
Best regards
Roman

Roman:
It has to do with heap ram, not general memory. Its some relationship with heap in any event.
Ill let you know what I fond and why it faisl at various levels as I find out..
Thx

I think the problem is fixed, you can download the latest one now. I just ran with 450 line lookahead with no trouble.
Thx

Hello Art
I installed the 'Freezer' from faronics you proposed....
I test with a frozen system this tomorrow. Thank you.

You can freeze the entire PC or just one partition .Normaly C:\ drive, and you can play with any modifications, even on registry and system files. Can delete , modify and on next restart are everything like before . Just don't forget to deactivate "deep freeze" when you want to install or modify any file in that partition , freezer will restore them on same state as before if is active.Roman wrote:

Hello Art
I tested up to 300 and with large files. And Jerk 30'000 and twice the accel rates I normaly have in the Pokeys for Mach3 Milling.
No problems, no faults detected.
Very good, now I do not touch it for a while
Best regards and thanks for all the help.
Roman
PS: A lady from Faronics called me to sell me a corporate license. I said I use it privatly only. She asked if I could buy it for my company. I said I can propose this to the HQ of IBM in Armonk (where I started 41 years ago as an Assembler and PL1 / DL1 programmer) but little odd's for a sale...

Hi Roman:
>>And Jerk 30'000 and twice the accel rates I normally have in the Pokeys
This is typical. You can use much higher accel than in Mach3. In fact one should
adjust accel to as high as they can in jogging. The accel value is limited only by jogging
performance in normal terms. Jogging has no JerkLimit processing so the accel is
important and should be set for best jogging and as high as that can allow.
With higher accel than normal the AntiJerk can shine through. Adjusting jerk
to proper level should then show smoother motion than in other programs in Gcode
movement.
You've done well Roman, your another of a few that got it all running with little
help and pointed out bugs along the way. Auggie was written for people like you.
Im glad its running well and leaving it alone is probably the best bet.
, I rarely
change anything on my two laser's settings and they rarely give me problems.
Mach4 can now deal with lasers Im told using the ESS board, so Auggie will
probably not be needed by many anymore but its very gratifying to see those
of you that adopted it get it running with as little trouble as possible.
Thx for all the help and feedback, Let me know of your experiences with
it, its probably the most complex program I've ever written and its internals
scare me at this point. I was shocked to run a 700 line lookahead this week
with no trouble, the thought of how much processing it takes to do 700 lines
of code when each line causes a complete reprogram of the stack is staggering,
its a factorial level of processing load and should have lodged my CPU in a block
of iced up threads but it hummed along and burned nicely instead. I mention
this only to point out how little even I know about what it will do or not do.
(So be cautious at all times when trying something new..Id lay money on there
being dozens of bugs waiting to bite one if they try something I didn't anticipate..)
