DarwinonRobotArm

Post by John T »

Hi Art,
This is just a curiosity question.

I had a look at your video - DarwinonRobotArm -  It looks really neat. Was this a development project of yours for a 3Dprinter?

Hi John:

I have used the "arm" for a project using a fuel injector for 3d printing that didnt
work out. ( Only a small percentage of idea's do sadly. lol ). The arm originally came from
an auto factory. A person had 5 on Ebay and forget to set a minimum, I got that one for $350
a few years back, the other 4 were withdrawn and the vendor told me he was expecting $5000
each as new they were $30,000 but he lived up to my bid. :). Really I think its worth about 1000
or so but that's the way the world works. We hobbyist's take a deal when we find it. :) .
(I hate the word Hobbyist..always looks like a spelling error.. Think Ill refer to myself as a hobbit
from now on..:)  )

The Arm is about to become a laser engraver, Ill show pictures as its developed. It will be used to test Gearotics soon to be made engraving module as well as Mach4 under Darwin.
