Hi Art,
in the tools window and the project window the Wheel and the Pinion have different gear forms. I'm trying to use epicycloid form and I get it on the wheel but the pinion is neither flat nor round on the tip looks a little rounded at the tip.

Hi John:
Those differences are on purpose and due to the specification of epicycloidal clock gear toothing.
The pinion leaves are rounded and the wheel leaves are pointed. The curves are taken from a specification
guide ( as I recall from the British horological Society specs. ).
You can though, add a wheel to a wheel on the project screen if youd like to stick with one leaf type..
